New to Canberra, I love exploring this city and the secrets that it holds with my family.
Fun for kids with crafts, music & art
On Sunday 20th August, between 12pm - 4pm, there will be a free family event at CMAG (Canberra Museum and Gallery) in the CBD. Designed for kids aged between 4-12, this afternoon will include activities based on books shortlisted for the 2017 Picture Book and Early Childhood Book of the Year. Get your feet tapping at Jim Sharrock's music sessions, make a book plate and create a scratch art snowflake inspired by Susannah Chamber's book, The Snow Wombat. Kids also can learn the art of improvised theatre with Impro ACT's shows and workshops in the CMAG theatrette.

There will also be a free art studio workshop with artist Jacqueline Bradley. The studio workshop, inspired by Go Home, Cheeky Animals! will involve drawing packs of dogs, a flock of goats and a team of horses. Session times are 12:30pm, 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Bookings essential.
