June is the perfect month for a wee bit of horsing around in the Scenic Rim with the Clydesdale Spectacular. Celebrating the iconic Clydesdale horse and the Scenic Rim's rich Scottish heritage, this two-day event is packed with activities for all ages.

Clydesdale
Held on the 17th and 18th of June 2023 at the Boonah Showgrounds, the Clydesdale Spectacular showcases the best of its breed. Grand champions of the breed will be judged, the Scottish heritage of the breed shared and the history of the breed in Australia, and in the Scenic Rim, is celebrated.
Featuring Clydesdales and Heavy Horses, working dogs, the Australian Light Horse troupe, harnessing and blacksmithing demonstrations and carriage rides, there is plenty to keep everyone entertained. The Clydesdale program includes competitions, championships and demonstrations.

Ploughing Demonstration
Other events not to miss are the Queensland Whip Cracking Titles, the World Billy Boiling Competition and the wood chopping.

Wood Chopping
In tribute to the Scottish descendants that settled in the region, the festival features plenty of Scottish fun. Don't miss the Scottish Pipes & Drums bands and caber tossing.
