More than fifty book shops and stalls will transform Clunes, Australia's only International Booktown, into a book lovers paradise over the weekend of Saturday & Sunday the 6th and 7th of May for the annual Clunes Booktown Festival.

This event, which attracts a crowd of about 18,000 each year, brings together more than 70 book traders dealing in new, second-hand, collectable and out of print publications.
The unique event hosts author talks, workshops, live entertainment, a kids village and some great country food.
Readers of all ages are sure to find something to their liking in Clunes.
Entry to the Clunes Booktown Festival costs Adults $10, Secondary School students (12 to 18 years) $5, with children under 12 and local residents FREE.
The fee includes entry to a number of talks by guest authors including The Honourable Tim Fischer AC as well as access to all booksellers, food stalls, live music venues and other entertainment.
Clunes Booktown Festival attracts about 18,000 visitors to the former gold rush town every year.
A highlight of the 2017 event will be the Magazine In A Weekend program which includes writing, editing & design workshops and culminates in the launch of an online magazine.
Clunes is 140 kilometres north-west of Melbourne, about a 90 minute drive. The town's annual Book Fair provides a great excuse to visit this quaint and historic gold-rush town.
