Another reason not to cook dinner
Sometimes it can be difficult to find a good place to stop for a meal when you're travelling through unfamiliar territory, even in your own city. Don't you agree?
We were delighted to stumble across the Club Tavern in Caboolture as a meeting place with friends on the other side of the river recently. Located at 16 Matthew Terrace, opposite the Caboolture Railway Station, the Club Tavern has an expansive bistro area catering for those with a hankering for good pub grub, with both a Kids Menu and Seniors Meals.
It's obviously a popular spot with the locals with an indoor children's play area within the bistro. A designated Covid Marshall was also on site on the day we visited ensuring all health requirements were being adhered too in a cheerful and respectful manner which helped us to relax and enjoy the ambience.
Although we were tempted by the Share Plate - coconut battered prawns, marinated chicken wings, onion rings, sweet potato wedges served with chipotle aioli, avocado ranch and honey mustard dipping sauces - we all opted for a Seniors Meal. These are available for both lunch and dinner, seven days a week, on the presentation of a Seniors Card.
At this stage of the game, the portion size of these meals better suits our requirements and the quality is in no way compromised. The Club Tavern Bistro also factored in Chefs Special Dessert for an additional $3 on top of all Seniors Meals and who doesn't love sweets when out and about?
