Take the picturesque coastal walk that hugs the coastline from Clovelly Beach to Maroubra via Coogee and Gordons Bay , where you can appreciate the spectacular views and get a great workout.

You can start the walk from any location from Bondi to Maroubra. A good spot to start is Clovelly which is not as busy with the crowds that frequent Bondi to Bronte.

Clovelly has an outdoor pool and narrow bay which is great for swimming at and also has a wheelchair accessible ramp to the water. There are nearby cafes for fuelling at before you embark on the trek.

The Clovelly Hotel is a Sydney institution for Sunday afternoon drinks where you can reward yourself after completing the walk remember to hydrate with water first though.

From Clovelly there is a steep stair case followed by a wooden walkway with views over the clear aqua coloured water of Gordons Bay (pictured below).

The walkway hugs the tiny beach complete with Gordons Bay Fishing Club's wooden dinghys. The path then rises up to Dunningham Reserve, a great picnic spot on the north headland of Coogee Beach.

The beach is popular with backpackers, families and locals. There are ocean pools either side of the large beach which offers mild surf to cool off in but watch the dumpers that sometimes appear at the coastal edge.

Coogee offers many eateries and shops to stop off at. Further south on the headland is stunning Wylie's Baths .

The path passes next to Grant Reserve playground for the kids offering great views over Coogee Beach, then continues onto Trenerry Reserve, an off the leash dog park.

A wooden walkway continues from Lurline Bay to Maroubra Beach, with a path that reaches down to the rocky platforms and picturesque ocean pool.

Adjacent to the walkway are glittering mansions that resemble the seaside villas of the Greek Islands. The walkway continues at Marine Parade and concludes at famous Maroubra Beach.

According to Randwick Council's website: "The Coastal Walk also provides an insight into the area's social and environmental history. Randwick City Council has installed a range of signs along the walkway, providing historical information on local inventors, shipwrecks and landholders. Timber boardwalks have been designed to create a raised walkway through some of the delicate areas of vegetation and peat bogs."
