Escape from the everyday
A one hour drive east of Melbourne and you will have arrived at one of Dandenong Ranges modest and stunning attractions, CloudeHill Gardens.
The manicured gardens and tranquil setting gives the visitor a sense of having entered into a magical faraway place.
Each new visit to the garden offers a different landscape. Each season the garden reinvents itself. No matter what time of year, you will capture the beauty of the gardens and its serenity
Whether you prefer a brisk walk or a slow stroll through the gardens be sure to work up an appetite. The onsite Seasons Restaurant offers a menu that is sure to satisfy all taste-buds. During my last visit I had the delicious Thai pumpkin soup, a definite winner!! And while you're at it, stop into the garden nursery and pickup some gardening tips or a souvenir for your own home garden. Look out for their gardening workshops too.
The gardens are dog-friendly. Your best friend doesn't need to wait in the car while you have all the fun. Bring them into the gardens but you must keep your pooch on the lead.

Entry to the gardens is $10 a person. You can pay a once off entry fee or sign up for the Diggers Club which allows you unlimited entry to the gardens during your membership period. Diggers Club membership covers entry into their other gardens, Heronswood on the Mornington Peninsula and St Erth in Blackwood.
