This Monday October 10 is National Swap Day and The Clothing Exchange is hosting simultaneous pop-up shops in Melbourne and Sydney to celebrate. Melbourne's RMIT is the chosen venue, close to the CBD and all those universities full of cash-strapped yet fashion-forward students. Bring your personal stylist and head on down to RMIT's Building 50 – you can bring a friend for free if you book online.


You can swap up to 6 pre-loved items (including accessories). They just have to be clean, pressed and in good condition and suitable for the coming season. Check-in takes place from 6pm and swapping starts at 7pm. Coffee, tea and bickies will be served and guest speaker Sam Leigh , of Australian sustainable fashion blog, ecomono , will share her style inspirations and tips on creating a beautiful monochrome wardrobe of essential pieces.
