Located just behind the Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Center , you can find this lookout offering spectacular views of Cloncurry. There are 62 steps before reaching the top of the lookout. It's a bit exercise but it's worth it!

As you climb up the steps, you can see colourful flowers. Halfway up, you can see rusty looking constructions that were once part of the mining site in Cloncurry. Cloncurry is a little town about 120km east of Mount Isa and 400km south of the Gulf of Carpentaria and part of the Shire of Cloncurry Queensland. Cloncurry is rich in minerals with its core industries copper and gold mining.

When you reach the top of the lookout, you can see the old part of the town and the new residential area. You can also see the Selwyn ranges that surround Cloncurry.

Take your time to go back down. They put a fluorescent yellow marker at the end of each step for your safety, but please do be careful as there is no railing to hold on to. At the bottom of the lookout, you can stop to catch your breath by the running water fountain and beautiful well-maintained garden.
