Located on 38 Scarr Street Cloncurry, is a little gem which everyone in town seems to know about. Cloncurry is a town and locality in the Shire of Cloncurry, Queensland, about 120km east of Mount Isa and 400km south of the Gulf of Carpentaria. We heard a good review of their pies, so we decided to have a go. It turned to be a mouth-watering lunch with crispy and melt in the mouth pastry and well-seasoned chunky meat inside. My two daughters decided to share their sausage rolls as it was huge.





This locally owned and operated bakery makes great bread, cakes and pies daily on the premises. Their loaves of bread and other bakery product also sell in nearby areas including Mount Isa.





While enjoying my lunch, I had a look around the place. They provide some chairs and tables for people that prefer to dine-in and the seating area was quite spacious. They don't have an outdoor seating area as the bakery is very close to the road. On the wall behind the counter, they have placed some funny signage.





The sweets on display were just inviting and we couldn't resist choosing some for ourselves. Apple turnover with fresh cream, cream horns with sweet stewed apples and berries stuffed in the middle, are some sweets that you can have here.



I could see that It's a very popular place, where locals come and go and exchange their hello. So to find the best place to eat, you just have to follow the crowd.
