Looking for adrenalin charged adventure sports sure to physically and mentally challenge people of all ages? Want to enjoy healthy, challenging family fun with an extra dose of adrenaline?

Then charge on in to Clip 'n Climb – it's the only entertainment centre of its size and kind in Australia. When we pulled up outside and saw what was in stall for us the three of us and simultaneously said 'WOW' out loud. It was well beyond our imagination. Look out Disneyland!

Leanne and Adrian are the power couple behind this amazing venue. They have their own impressive careers and this is there first time in business together. They have three children and noticed that, beyond the indoor playcentres that cater for up to 6 year olds, there was a lack of entertainment centres for the whole family. They wanted to create a fun, healthy haven for families; what a masterpiece. Imagine how envious other kids at school would be.

Despite only being open for a week, there has been an overwhelming positive response to the venue. They have already hosted many parties and have over 150 party bookings.

I met a women who had already been to Clip 'n Climb three times with her four sons. She disagreed with me saying suggested this was an expensive pastime. She argues it is great value compared to many other family activities. 'Where can a I find something that all kids from 13-22 years that they can enjoy together?' Even the movies with food and ticket would be more expensive, anyway she had purchased the multi pass discount which meant she saved 20%.'

This mother had also had her fair share of climbs. She said she was so scared on the second last ladder rail she froze and the sweat was pouring off her. Her husband encouraged her to go on; just like she had seen kids do with each other.

When I asked Marcus, her 13 year old, about what he liked about Clip 'n Climb he said 'It works my arms and I love the challenges.'

Her friend commented that 'It's great to watch the kids getting braver.' They are all able to achieve something that they didn't think they would be able to.' She also said she loved the fact that the kids were helping each other.

Here's an overview of what you can look forward to.

Skytrail/Skyrail $18.50

This is Australia's largest multi-level indoor suspended obstacle course. It has 21 challenging 10 metres tall rope, cable and wooden challenges on giant poles and platforms.

The price includes 5 minutes briefing/harnessing and 1 hour on the multi-level 10 metre high obstacle course, plus fly high for 20 meters on SkyRail multiple times.

From experience I know I'm not much of a climber and my daughter is not much of a risk taker and she hates heights. If I weren't trying to be such a great role model I wouldn't have tackled it. Crazy because it's 100% secure. I admit it does look high once you're up there but the flying fox is so much fun and I had several goes.

I was pleased to find out that I wasn't the oldest to ever climb the skyrail and was reminded that young children have no fear. Three year olds were running around up there like they were having a picnic in the park.

This is designed to support reluctant climbers. You can find your feet on easier elements at lower levels, and then increase the challenge and adrenalin rush the higher you go. Choose your own path and pace – it's for all ages and skill levels.

SkyRail, the only one in Australia with an overhead flying fox track attached to the SkyTrail course that lets you 'fly' for 20 metres, six metres above the ground.

A climb pass for over 100cm tall is $18.50. For under 100cm tall it's only $12.50. This includes a 15 minute safety briefing and 1 hour of climbing.

A multi climb pass is $147.50 (a saving of 20% off equivalent full priced sessions). This includes ten (single participant use) 1-hour sessions for Clip 'n Climb and/or SkyTrail within a 12-month period.

You can buy other adrenaline rush activities as well:
Leap Of Faith $5.00
Jump from a trapeze or sumo bag from 6m above the floor.

Vertical Drop Slide $5.00
Free fall from 9 metres (or lower).

Twinpeaks $7.50 (save 25% off purchasing separately)
Includes both the 'Leap of Faith' & 'Vertical Drop Slide'

Elliot was on duty the day we went. You can tell he absolutely loves his job.

Climbs

Enjoy an abundance of climbs for example:
Astroball: a unique and exciting ball climb for up to three climbers at the same time.

Inflated: try to bounce your friend off this wobbly double-sided inflated wall.

Speed Climb: race your friend to the top or beat your personal best time.

Stairway to Heaven: scale up all the wobbly poles, no hands required, then jump off the top pole. This is truly amazing.

Cheeky Monkey Climb $9.50

This is a unique kid's dream 8 metre high adventure play area for 3-9 year olds. It's completely safe and according to my daughter 'with a soft, neon lit marshmallow type mattress at the bottom'.

This is a jungle-themed attraction, custom-designed for us by Australia's leading indoor play specialist. This includes a multi-level ball battle arena, with ball fountains and cannons, obstacle passages, including a kaleidoscope tube and slides with see through sections.

Pricing

Receive a 10% discount off the total price for each individual participant booked for two or three attractions on the same day.

Party, fundraising and corporate venue

Party packages are for a minimum of 10 people starting from only $20.50 per child. They are also able to provide lolly bags, cakes and adult platters. See packages here .

Clip 'n Climb has three multi-media conference rooms that can be configured to suit your needs. They are fully wired with audio, projectors, large screens and WiFi. The trust-based activities are ideal for personal development and team building. Leanne and Adrian cater for large events and can also provide an experienced facilitator or event manager.

Food

I have to make a special mention about the food. Apart from being very reasonably priced, Leanne makes a special effort to have healthy homemade food. In fact she makes the pizzas, sandwiches sausage rolls herself with four different types of vegetables.

The café stocks almond and soy milks and gluten free products. She supplies raw food including raw chocolate, natural food bars and slices with all natural ingredients and no preservatives. Leanne said that vegetarian parties are very popular, but she also provides wedges and fries on request.

At Clip 'n Climb it's family Sunday everyday. Intimidating BUT also exhilarating. Guaranteed to have a ball!
