This stunning park is a popular summertime picnic area for families, with its large grassy area, netted swimming pool and a brand new enclosed and sheltered children's playground.

The park has electric BBQs, undercover seating as well as tables and bubblers. For children, there is also a basketball court and a path, where they can ride their scooters and skateboards. Amenities at the park are excellent, with a new modern toilet block.

The beach has stunning white sand and the water is crystal clear. On the northern side of the beach is a Bacino Café, which serves a wide selection of Italian snacks and sweets, as well as coffee and freshly squeezed juices.

The easiest way to get to is by car, however, parking is expensive in the metered car park, although there is unrestricted parking on Morella Road. If you are travelling by bus, the best way to get there is by bus number 228 which stops near the entrance or alternative take bus number 233, 238 or 247.

Large tree offer shade during hot summer months and as the beach is sheltered, there are no waves, making it ideal for families with young children. A pier stretches from the beach into the ocean, where you will often find fishermen relaxing and waiting for the next big catch.

If you haven't been to for a while or ever, then add this amazing park and beach to your list of things to do this spring and summer. The scenery is spectacular and the facilities first class.
