Nestled in the prodigious Blue Mountains sits the remarkable Cliff View Lookout, it boasts a view that is so overwhelming, it leaves you in awe.
The lookout walk is around ten minutes return and explores the soaring cliffs with the dense vegetation in the area. Jamison Valley, Orphan Rock, Narrow Neck and Mount Solitary can be seen from the Lookout.
As you gaze out, Jamison Valley opens ahead of you with its mighty heap of cliffs. As you continue to look around, Mount Solitary becomes visible and the ruined castle can be seen to its right- which apparently is really a pile of rocks that resembles the ruins of a castle!
Across the valley, below, you can hear the abundance of birdlife that call this picturesque and incredible place home.
Once you reach the end of the lookout walkway you can see, to the left, the path-walk of the Blue Mountains National Park – unfortunately we did not have enough time to explore the Blue Mountains National Park but we will definitely do so next time.
The Lookout endows you with awe-inspiring views up to the Kedumba Valley; it is one of the best viewing points of the mighty Blue Mountains.
No matter what time of the day you come, you are guaranteed to experience complete beauty and of course if you come early morning or on foggy days the Cliff View Lookout becomes blanketed with a wall of mist covering the beautiful landscape.
Across the Lookout you can see the Scenic Skyway crossing the valley, and if you are brave enough there is access to the Scenic Skyway near the walk.
This lookout is suitable for wheelchair and prams/ strollers and there is free parking available nearby.
