Help solve Australia's waste challenges
Do your bit to help keep Australia waste-free as part of the countries largest community-based environmental event, Clean Up Australia Day, this March.

Clean Up Australia Day is a national environmental, not for profit campaign co-founded by the late Ian Kiernan with Kim McKay in 1989. Traditionally coinciding with the first weekend in March, Clean Up Australia Day is a time when thousands of volunteers join in the hunt to locate and remove unwanted and often dumped rubbish across the country.

This year's campaign will be held on 7 March 2021 to prevent rubbish from entering our environment and removing what has already accumulated. There are also some lead-up events: Schools/Youth Clean Up Day is on Friday 5 March 2021 and Business Clean Up Day is on Tuesday 2 March 2021.

From beaches to parks, and bushland to rivers you can nominate to create an event or join an event to help Clean Up Australia and collect food, packaging, plastics, tyres, straws and more to keep our environment free from waste.

By signing up, you will receive a Clean Up kit including bags, gloves and more to help you in your quest. Of course, COVID safe measures will be in place to comply with each state's COVID-19 restrictions, to ensure the health and safety of our volunteers and of the broader community.

So why not step up this Clean Up Australia Day and help fight the war on waste.
