Federation Square is abuzz with activities every month, from meditations and fitness workouts to designer markets and winter festivals. Music lovers can rejoice. In addition to the lunchtime recitals at the library in Docklands, this top cultural precinct in Melbourne is also orchestrating a schedule of monthly concerts. Best of all, entry is FREE for everyone.

You can enjoy the following performances from June to November in Deakin Edge during your lunch break.

6 June - Piano solo by Nikki Wei

4 July - New Horizons Concert Band

1 August - Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School Orchestra

19 September - Feature performance from world-class pianist Katherine Austin (New Zealand) and Glenn Riddle.

3 October - Dandenong Ranges Orchestra

7 November - Anon featuring Nicole Tj (piano), Thomas Lo (violin), Tim Hennessy (cello)

Afterwards, grab a bite and take a stroll around Federation Square and enjoy the various free exhibitions held at ACMI and The Ian Potter Centre, NGV Australia every month.
