Celebrating 10 years in the community
The Clarkson Library is having a day of celebration on 21 March. It has been 10 years since the library first opened its doors and the whole community is invited to participate in a variety of activities throughout the day.
Bunnings helpers will be on hand to assist with plant a seedling workshop between 12.00pm to 2.00pm, while at 1.00pm a musical trio will keep the parents entertained.
A faboulous chocolate demonstration will be taking place from 12.00pm to 2.00pm. Throughout the rest of the day there will be kids crafts such as a book cubby where the kids can publish their very own book.
For the adults there is a book art workshop where parents can learn the fascinating art of book folding. Learn how to give new life to old books. These pieces will then be transformed into a sculpural art installation which will be placed on the entrance walls of the Clarkson Library. There will be two workshops during the day from 10.00am to 12.00pm then again from 1.00pm to 3.00pm. Bookings are essential for either of these free workshops by phoning 94071600.
Local community groups will also be present with information about their activities. The library will be still be open for normal use from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
The Clarkson Library is located at Ocean Keys Boulevarde at the corner of Ebb Way in Clarkson. It is opposite the Ocean Keys Shopping Centre.
