Adelaide local who loves her city
Published July 16th 2011
If you are looking for somewhere to hold your next family outing then consider this great recreation park at Clarendon. Most of us associate this quaint little town with wine making and grape vines but there is definitely more here than you might imagine.

This huge park has a variety of facilities such as tennis courts, playgrounds, netball courts, BBQ areas and lots of room to play all the ball games you love. There is a big oval and a cricket pitch, perfect for practice games.

There is also a large sheltered area for shade in hot weather and to keep out the rain on wintery days. You will also find plenty of tables to set up your picnic on. This is a great spot anytime of the year and it's not too far from the city. Another great attraction is the vast array of native birdlife living in this beautiful natural setting.

Head to Nicolle Road at Clarendon this weekend and don't forget the footy and picnic lunch.
