New releases, unusual wines and wines you haven’t found yet

"Wine is one of the most civilized things in the world and one of the most natural things of the world that has been brought to the greatest perfection, and it offers a greater range for enjoyment and appreciation than, possibly, any other purely sensory thing." - Ernest Hemingway

We hardly need Ernest to tell us that wine is good, but the opportunity to taste new, different and exciting Western Australian wines should never be missed.

Wines, cocktails, street food and entertainment will all feature at this year's third annual City Wine event at the Urban Orchard in the Perth Cultural Centre.

Organiser Richard Campbell: "There will be almost forty exhibitors at the event ... The exhibitor line-up features some of the state's leading boutique wine producers, a range of Perth's favourite food vendors along with a selection of craft brewers, ciders and spirits. There will be plenty of new releases, unusual wines and wines you haven't yet discovered."

Visitors will be able to sample wines and buy a glass of wine to enjoy while listening to live music or bottles to take away which can be stored in the complimentary "wine locker" until patrons are ready to leave.

Entertainment will be provided by electro/soul/beats band The Prefix from 4pm to 6pm on Saturday and 2pm to 5.30pm on Sunday.
