City To Bay 2012
City To Bay 2012

The time is upon us again. Yes, it is the annual City To Bay Fun Run in a few months. This year it will be held on Sunday September 16th, but now is the time you should start preparing yourself. Time to dust off those running shoes and start hitting the training tracks.

If you have never participated, the run starts on King William Road next to Elder Park in the city, and ends in the heart of Glenelg. The total distance is 12 kilometres. If you can't run that distance, you can walk it, or alternatively, there are 3 and 6 kilometres runs and walks. With those distances, lack of fitness should not be an excuse, and even wheelchair participants are encouraged to get involved.

When you finally do make it to Glenelg, you can have your well deserved rest, eat plenty of food, and just soak in the entertainment and atmosphere. It is a fantastic way to spend a lovely Spring afternoon.

As a side note, if you do participate, perhaps you could consider running for a charity or cause. You can easily go to Everyday Hero to create a webpage where people can donate to your charity.
