City of Holdfast Bay Outdoor Adventure Challenge 2016

If you are looking for fun things to do outdoors with the kids on the weekend, the City of Holdfast Bay is again hosting the Outdoor Adventure Challenge, which this year will be held on Sunday 6 March 2016 from 10 am to 2 pm. The Challenge commenced In 2015, and was a great success with over 100 families participating.
Commencing at Da Costa Reserve, Wyatt Street, Glenelg East the Challenge encourages you to visit parks and reserves in the area to undertake activities and challenges. At each challenge location there will be special questions for you to answer or an adventure activity to complete and mark off in your Outdoor Adventure Challenge Passport.
Challenges and activities range from creating pieces of nature art and learning how to play a new sport to cultural activities, cubby and kite making, nature exploring and more. There are 10 locations included:
1. Michael Herbert Memorial Garden, Kibby Reserve- Kibby Ave, Glenelg North
2. Old Gum Tree Reserve- MacFarlane Street, Glenelg North
3. Glenelg Foreshore- Glenelg foreshore, Glenelg
4. Da Costa Reserve- Wyatt Street, Glenelg East
5. Brighton Bowling Club- 11-13 Keelara St, Brighton
6. Brighton Jetty-Esplanade Brighton
7. Brighton Beach- Esplanade Brighton
8. Angus Neill Reserve- Esplanade, Seacliff
9. Gilbertson Gully- Gully Rd, Seacliff Park
10. Tjilburke Springs- Strickland Rd, Kingston Park
This is a great way to get the family engaging with nature and visiting some local parks and reserves where they can learn new skills and have fun.
