Celebrate Halloween early with an exciting fully guided 5.5km moonlit walk along a well-marked bush track from the historic Victoria Dam to the Bickley Reservoir in the Orange Grove Hills.

The City of Gosnell run these annual Ghost walks on Friday evenings closest to the full moon from October until March.

Discover the spirits of Mason and Bird's timber mill workers who built a thriving community in Orange Grove in 1860s. And if they don't make an appearance, don't worry you will still meet friendly ghost performers who will tell you colourful tales of the many characters that lived and worked in the district at that time as well as stories about the history of the Mason and Bird Timber Mill Company and the bustling community that thrived in the area over 150 years ago. You may also encounter come convicts lingering near the railway bridge that still stands today.

This is a wonderful excuse to bring your whole family out to get some exercise and to experience the local environment and great outdoors as you enjoy the bush scenery and views of the Perth City lights. You may even encounter some local fauna along the way.

Each tour night, groups of approximately 25 walkers enjoy the entertainment with walks spaced at 15 minute intervals with the first group departing at 7pm.

Each walk takes approximately three hours, commencing with a 20 minute bus ride from Hardinge Road Picnic Area to the starting point at Victoria Dam car park.

On return from the leisurely walk, you can enjoy a delicious supper, converse with the volunteers who have returned from the track and pick up some brochures about other interesting local events.

Dates for the Ghost Walks include Friday the 14th of October, Friday the 18th of November, Friday the 16th of December, Friday the 10th of February and Friday the 10th of March from 7pm to 10.45pm.
