Why not try a new sport during the upcoming school holidays? The City of Charles Sturt will be holding free school holiday sports program at various locations from 18 to 28 April 2017. All children aged between 3 and 17 years old are invited to get involved.

There is a huge variety of sports to choose from.

Surf life saving - West Beach (bring bathers, hat, towel, spare clothes & drink)

Karate - Henley Beach (bring sports shoes & drink)

Tennis - Woodville (bring sports shoes, drink, hat & tennis racquet if available)

Dragon boating - West Lakes (bring clothes that can get wet, plastic shoes & water bottle)

Bicycle racing - Findon (bring long pants, long sleeve top & helmet if available)

Cricket - Woodville South (bring sports shoes & drink)

Callisthenics - Kilkenny (wear leotard/top & shorts/leggings, bring drink)

Hockey - Grange (bring sports shoes & drink)

Rugby union - Seaton (bring sports shoes & drink)

Dancing - Woodville (bring clothes to move in, enclosed shoes & drink)

Canoeing - West Lakes (bring hat, towel, long sleeve top, change of clothes & drink)

Croquet - Woodville South (bring sports shoes & drink)

Scouts - Seaton (bring drink, hat, closed shoes & snack)

Fencing - Hindmarsh (bring sports shoes, drink & long pants)

AFL - Renown Park (bring sports shoes & drink)

Netball - Woodville North (bring sports shoes & drink)

Basketball - Woodville (bring sports shoes, drink & basketball if available)

Lacrosse - Findon (bring sports shoes & drink)

Soccer - Woodville (bring sports shoes, drink & shin pads if available)

Lawn bowls - Grange (bring sports shoes & drink)

Yoga - Woodville (bring clothes to move in, enclosed shoes & drink)

Golf - West Lakes (bring sports clothing, drink & hat)


To register your child, either fill out a pdf form or do it online. Registrations close on the 17th of April. So make sure you register before then.

Besides trying a new sport, your child will also have the avenue to increase his/her level of physical activity, learn about a healthy lifestyle, boost his/her self-esteem and make new friends.

And best of all it is free of charge.
