It's so easy and natural to gravitate to the more well-known hotels in New York City that sometimes we forget that other sections of the City have hotels that are just as nice. And, while some people may cite the convenience of being only steps away from certain attractions or a specific district, the ease at which public transportation allows you to get around New York City negates this argument. So, think outside the box and give the three New York City hotels listed below a try. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you discover during your stay there.

New York Millennium Hilton

The New York Millennium Hilton Hotel located in downtown New York, giving you easy access to Wall Street, SoHo, Tribeca, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, and many others. In fact, you are less than one mile from all of these listed.

The hotel is also very close where the World Trade Towers once stood and to where the monument to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, is now being built. You can watch the construction of this lasting legacy that will continue to prove that America won't give up and won't give in.

Holiday Inn SoHo

Stay right smack dab in the middle of one of New York City's trendiest neighborhoods. The Holiday Inn SoHo lets you do just that, and still be only one mile from the Financial District. You're very close to Chinatown and Little Italy, also, so you know you're going to find plenty of good food to eat and lots of shopping opportunities. The hotel was recently remodeled, so everything is fresh and updated. Come be one of the first to enjoy this "new" hotel.

Hotel Indigo

Here is another unique location that you may not have considered staying in. the Chelsea area is known as the "flower district" and offers theatre, art museum, and distinctive shopping venues. Don't worry about being off the beaten path, though, because you're still close to other attractions and areas of New York City.

The Hotel Indigo is a brand-new hotel, just waiting for the discerning traveler to enjoy its amenities. These include penthouses and a rooftop bar and lounge, any of which will afford you a spectacular view of the New York skyline.
