City Beach is home to four sand covered volleyball courts in the middle of the city. These are open air courts that have loads of other facilities like change-rooms with toilets and showers, tables and chairs, and a kiosk that serves snacks, ice creams, and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. It is a great spot for corporate events or parties, especially for those who like to get active. When choose to hire out City Beach the courts and balls are provided, so all you need to bring along is yourself and appropriate clothing.
City Beach Courts
There are a few options available if you are wanting to hire the courts. City Beach have put together packages for private parties and functions that could meet your needs, or you can put together your own DIY package to custom-build a day that will suit you best.
Package 1 - For $45 per person you can hire out the entire venue for 3 hours. This package includes a demonstration from AIS volleyball players, enjoy a meet and greet when they're done. Splash out on this fancy package and you'll also get a glass of bubbly and cocktail food.
Package 2 - For $35 per person hire the entire venue for 2 hours, with music to motivate your game. Munch on a gourmet BBQ when you're not playing.
Package 3 - For $30 per person hire out two of the courts for 2 hours and get your energy from the supplied Aussie BBQ.
Package 4 - For $20 per person hire two courts for 2 hours and enjoy the supplied sausage sizzle.
You can also hire out a court for $60 an hour, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, or get the whole venue for just $220 per hour. Outside of business hours or during weekends and public holidays courts will cost you $90 per hour, and the whole venue will set you back $320. These deals are great if you're wanting to organise your own function or event, and need to plan times to suit it. You can also hire out a BBQ to cook your own meat, and hire referees to man your game.
