Ever wanted to run away and join the circus? Or thought you'd like to try juggling or walking on stilts? CirQuest Circus School is offering a chance to enjoy a performance by school students and teachers, and then have a go in a free circus skills workshop.


Learning circus skills is great fun but it's more than just clowning around. CirQuest classes cater for all ages and abilities with the youngest children developing motor skills and gaining increased confidence in their physical and social interactions. Older children can chose from a smorgasbord of activities including trapeze, rope climbing, acrobatics, twirling, and many more. Teenagers perfect their skills through performances at community events and festivals. Grown-ups aren't left out with classes in acrobatics that feature tumbling, handstands and more. And for the bored athlete looking for a challenge, how about German wheel ?


You can sample the CirQuest classes at the Show and Have a Go day. These very popular events give you a chance to watch a performance and then attend a free circus skills workshop. Entry is by gold coin donations, and for a small additional charge there's face painting, a sausage sizzle and make your own hula hoop or juggling balls to take home. All ages and abilities are welcome.


CirQuest is run by Disco Cantito Inc, a non-profit association created to develop the education and performance of circus, dance, music and theatre arts in the community.c
