Toruk takes place in the fictional world of Pandora created by Cameron in Avatar. The story is an odyssey through a new world of imagination, discovery and possibility. The show is a riveting blend of puppetry and stagecraft lifted to breathtaking heights by a soaring cinematic score.
The story is narrated by one of the N'avi (the beautiful blue creatures who call Pandora their home). This tale is set thousands of years before the happenings of Avatar. A natural catastrophe threatens to destroy the Tree of Souls and two boys decide it is their destiny to save it.
It is Toruk who can help them save the tree, so they set off up the floating mountains to find the massive red and orange predator. Destiny is fulfilled when a pure soul emerges and rises to ride Toruk for the first time, thus saving the N'avi from a terrible fate.
Directed by multi-media innovators Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, Toruk is a living ode to the N'avi's symbiotic relationship with nature. It is a live immersive experience based on the interconnectedness of all living things.
