The Greatest Show From Africa

Cirque Africa has finally arrived in Brisbane. The vastly gifted circus troupe consisting of twenty-two performers from six African countries brings something new and fresh to Roundhouse Theatre, La Boite, on Musk Avenue in Kelvin Grove. Oozing good vibes and contagious wide smiles, Cirque Africa feels more like a celebration than a circus act.

You are hit with a deluge of African culture, joy and talent from beginning to end. Cirque Africa have travelled Australia for the last three years receiving praise from showgoers and critics alike. The show includes, and certainly not limited to - Acrobat Pole and Pyramids Acts, Dancers, Hula Hoopers, and a hilarious Clown act with audience participation. Ibrahim Tulwo's Rolla Rola Act is 'edge of your seat' entertaining. Zaina Jafari from Tanzania is a Foot Juggler with talent that extends to juggling large objects such as a full-size coffee table using only her feet – look mum, no hands!

The show is fast-paced, rhythmic and a whole lot of fun. Cirque Africa is running evening, weekend and matinee performances until November 4th, giving you plenty of time to experience the thrill and wonder of this unique 100% African extravaganza. On Fridays and Saturdays, there are two shows, one early enough to take the kids!

The Producer, Founder, and Director of Cirque Africa is none other than Winston Ruddle also know as Papa Africa. The first African anywhere in the world to create, own and produce a show in a big top circus tent.

Roll up Roll up, call your favourite clowns - the circus is in town!
