The Cire organisation has three markets per year at the Chirnside Park Community Hub, an Easter market, a Winter market and a twilight Christmas market. It is a craft and food market.

The market boasts over eighty stalls, both indoor and outdoor.

The outdoor stalls are neatly spread over grassy areas and giving the impression of a tent city.

Crafts were the major number of stalls. Dinky Di Made was one of several offering soft toys, beanies and fluffy pom poms.

More soft toys were offered by Chookypump Designs. Not only soft, but knitted, colourful and cute. They were made by Mrs Chookypump, while Mr. Chookypump was selling framed landscape photos that he had taken.

One of the indoor stalls was Jan's Art Smocks, and handmade creations, which included many knitted woollen items. Between customers, Jan was busy with wool and her knitting needles creating more creations.

The Mooroolbark Men's Shed displayed a remarkable range of wooden items made in their shed. One proud member proudly displayed his cutting board, made from small timber pieces, which took three days to produce. Other products were bread and potato storage boxes and several outback little houses. That would be a great novelty gift for someone who thinks they have everything.

Moonlight Creations was another stall selling wooden products. Some nice cheese boards were on display, but a feature of Moonlight Creations were hand-crafted ball point pens. Any of them would make a unique gift.

There were several stalls selling candles. One was Eden's Aura featuring hand-poured soy candles by Tara. They come in many fragrances, including 50 Shades of Grey.

Sidewalk Scrunchies piqued my interest, not knowing what they were. After I was educated, I decided I didn't have enough of the necessary material to use one. They were all colourful and would brighten up anyone's day and hair.

Grif & Co specialises in handmade garments for bubs and little ones. Their display tent had translucent sides and back which gave a warm and cosy feel to the display.

When visiting many markets and seeing the same stall many times is a good indication of quality and value of the merchandise being offered. Lilibet Original Re-Creations is one such stall, specialising in handmade handbags using recyclable materials making every bag unique.

Kobey's Krystals are something different. A large range of different examples are available, even Krystal trees.

A very popular site was the Sweet and Sour tent. Colourful and tasty sweets.

The Cire Market is also a food market. There were many food vans concentrated in an asphalt area.

Clark's Cyclone Taties were selling the ever-popular twisted spud on a stick.

For the real sweet tooths was the Pour Some Suga outlet.

Cire Services provide flexible learning opportunities, education and training and many community programs and services to help meet the needs of people of all ages, particularly in the Upper Yarra catchment. One of their fund-raising activities is produce and craft markets at Kimberley Reserve in Kimberley Drive, Chirnside Park. This article features their Easter market held on 26 March 2023.

My final act on leaving a market is to patronise the coffee van, in this case, the Italian Food & Coffee Food Truck for my cappuccino with one sugar, stirred, not shaken.

My next stop was Rollies handmade doughnuts, cooked before your very eyes.

It was a fitting end to this quality market. The next Cire Market is their Winter market, with the date not yet finalised.
