I like to participate in life rather than be a spectator. Music, dancing, theatre, travelling, food, cycling and walking are some of my passions. Writing is an enjoyable pastime that allows me to share my experiences.
Roll up, roll up to see Circus Rio an animal free entertainment event that is currently travelling around Australia. The big top will be at Penrith Paceway until September 22, relocating to Bonnyrigg with shows starting on September 27. Colour, movement and magic abound in this show that is full of high flying tricks, mind bending illusion and silliness.
Be entertained by beautiful samba dancers, skilled aerialists, a tight rope walking juggler, illusionists, a quirky clown, audience involvement and a high flying free styling motocross (FMX) display. Circus Rio has a running time of two hours with a fifteen-minute intermission. Intermission gives people a chance to purchase drinks and snacks from the Circus Rio cafe caravan while the circus arena is set up for the acrobatic trapeze act.
My favourite acts were the athletic acrobatic aerialists in their sparkling white costumes and the very entertaining and cheeky clown. The catchy Latin rhythms provide the soundtrack and extra atmosphere is created with the light show and clever costumes. There is no restriction on photography during the show and the performers hang around after the show for a meet and greet with the audience.
