Roll up, roll up – the Circus is in town! After a spectacular string of shows across South Australia, Circus Rio has arrived in Mount Barker to continue wowing audiences with their circus shenanigans!

Inspired by the electric atmosphere of the world-renowned Rio De Janeiro Carnival, Circus Rio have travelled halfway across the world from Brazil in sunny South America to bring their Brazilian extravaganza to Australian shores.

Limits are tested and boundaries pushed as Circus Rio explores the full extent of what the human body is capable of when it comes to flexibility, acrobatics and aerial feats.

Prepare to be transported into a world much like The Greatest Showman as you witness jaw-dropping acts, death-defying feats and spectacular spectacles that will leave you biting your nails, on the edge of your seat and glued to each and every second of action!

Get your groove on to a soundtrack of fierce Brazilian beats and tropical rhythms, as a tribe of Samba Girls shimmies onto the stage in a shower of sequins, glitter and feathers.

Loose yourself (and your bearings!) whilst watching an endless amount of batons, hoops and even fire clubs get tossed high into the air before being caught just in time by a professional juggler with lightning-speed reflexes and octopus hands.

Watch closely as a marvellous magician makes his assistant disappear from a cube wrapped with cling film and a box speared by fire spikes, before making her reappear next to you in the crowd before your very own eyes!

Turn your gaze to the highest point of the big top as amazing aerialists dangle from the ceiling on aerial hoops and aerial silks, holding on by their sheer strength and defying the very laws of gravity.

And for the grand finale, keep your eyes peeled to the skies for a feat of heart-racing BMX motorcycle madness, as a highly trained and skilled local Aussie BMX motorcyclist specialist will be taking to the ramp to showcase somersaults, backflips and incredible jumps right – and all in the big top itself!

What makes Circus Rio stand out from other circuses that have come to town before is the fact that there are no animals or traditional clowns in full costume. So have no fear, one and all can enjoy the show without having to worry about the fear of clown-phobias or animal cruelty!
