Circus Oz; they're quirky, thoroughly entertaining and they're back to perform at the Frankston Arts Centre this May.

The Circus Oz troupe return to the Frankston stage to perform; Precarious on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th May only.

This is your chance to see Australia's internationally acclaimed contemporary circus, originally founded right here in Melbourne in 1978.

Strap yourselves in and enjoy what is described as a "70-minute journey through an intriguing world inspired by the icy plains of the Antarctic and the extraordinary energies and colours of the Aurora Australis."

Precarious is an innovative theatrical performance focussed on storytelling within the art of circus. This performance is more than high wires, flips & jumps, clowning and fancy tricks because Circus Oz is a group of creative individuals who deliver a thought-provoking performance to an intimate audience.

The Circucreatesnsemble create an exciting three-dimensional world that examines the fragility that exists between humanity and nature.

The Precarious Co-Directors explain more, "We are in precarious times environmentally. How much more can our ecosystem take? Are we approaching the tipping point? Can humanity restore the natural balance before it is too late?"

Precarious follows the journey of a precious seed that must make its way to the "Ministry of Seeds". Along the way the aforementioned specimen disappears and reappears in bizarre circumstances.

This highly entertaining show is performed in typical Circus Oz fashion; featuring an interesting troupe filled with characters who collectively perform: foot juggling, the aerial rope and tippy ring, roué cyr, the Chinese pole and hula hoops.

Precarious unfolds through an ingenuous maze of phenomenal acrobatics, spectacular aerials, live music and physical comedy. Join Circus Oz at the Frankston Arts Centre for a 70-minute non-stop spectacle of acrobatic mayhem for audiences of all ages.
