Begin 2014 with Circus Oz: Cranked Up touring Sydney from Wednesday 1 to Monday 27 January 2014.
The state-of -the-art Big Top will be going up at Tumbalong Park for Australia's most loved circus, Circus Oz, who are back in 2014 to crank up your summer experience.
Since its birth in Melbourne, 1978, the critically acclaimed Circus Oz has toured nationally and internationally across five continents. Spellbinding acts, loads of fun, outrageous humour together with some rock-n-roll, it's no wonder this animal-free circus has won the hearts of audiences from all corners of the earth with their Australian spirit.
Inspired by a construction site, Cranked Up features an absurd mixture of jugglers, talented musicians, high energy acrobats, and aerialists on top of an insane amount of clowning about around the show's main feature - an enormous swinging steel beam. There is a unique blend of physical, musical and comic skill bringing you death defying feats, eccentric costumes and amazing stunts.
Last year's show has toured around Australia and travelled across the States to standing ovations. This year's show, however, will be even more spectacular with the addition of the indigenous actor/clown Mark Sheppard as well as heaps more new stunts - all accompanied by an innovative eclectic live band rocking it out.
Circus Oz: Cranked Up is worthy of the accolades it's received for the cheekiness and boisterousness will have you cracking up throughout the performance. Suitable for people of all ages, Cranked Up features animals that are definitely 100% human, runs for approximately two hours with a 20 minute interval, and provides air conditioned comfort.
