School holiday fun
Wanna fly on the high trapeze, learn to juggle or clown around - then come and join the WA Circus School and Sky High Trapeze this October school holidays for your chance to learn how. The Circus Camp 2012 will run during the school holidays, from Thursday 11th October, 2012 to Sunday 14th October, 2012.
The Circus Camp 2012 is three and a half days of fun including a Showcase on the last day. Workshops in Aerial Skills, Static and Flying Trapeze, Juggling, Plate Spinning, Acrobalance, Unicycle, Contortion, Devil Stick, Tumbling, Clowning and much, much more. All workshops are taught by highly trained and skilled specialists with professional performance backgrounds.
The Circus Camp Workshops allow participants to take calculated risks in a safe environment, provide a safe, non-competitive and exciting place to use their imagination and creativity and teach teamwork, trust, and self-motivation.
Anyone between the ages of 12 and 15 years of age is welcome. All levels of circus skills are catered to from first timers and beginners right through to advanced levels.
Enrolment forms can be found on-line at the WA Circus School Website. The Circus Camp 2012 will cost $300.00 per person, which will cover all accommodation, food and participation in over twenty different skills workshops.
The Circus Camp is held annually at the Ern Halliday Recreation Park in Hillarys.
