A foodie's delight with Australia's first Cinnabon store
Many years ago at an Orlando, Florida theme park, I had my first Cinnabon experience and finally, Cinnabon is at Toombul Shopping Centre. For those who are scratching their heads wondering what a Cinnabon is, it is one of the most amazing foodie experiences you can have. It is a cinnamon bun scroll, but thicker than any that you would buy at a bakery, with loads of cinnamon to enjoy wrapped in thick light dough; that turns into a delicious gooey mess when eaten warm.
Originally invented by a father and son team and sold in Seattle, Washington back in 1985, the brand has dramatically grown throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Cinnabon has a variety of flavours, however, its original version is a thick slathering of cinnamon and sugar warmly heated for anyone to enjoy.

At the first Australian Cinnabon shop at Toombul, I decided to choose a different flavour and opted for a Choc Minibon. It is a small version of the original Cinnabon but slathered with chocolate and some custard in the middle. The Minibon is a perfect size for one person as the original size is quite large and a bit heavy on the stomach. The shop just opened this month and there is a line, but it moves fast with polite, calm and efficient staff ensuring everyone gets there order and are not waiting too long. The shop has an open floor plan, to allow a bird's-eye view of the mixing and baking process of the delicious Cinnabons while you wait.
These are the perfect treat for Christmas Day lunch or Boxing Day BBQ. The overall shopping experience blew my mind as one of the most pleasant experiences ever, as all the staff were calm and that calmness transcended to all the customers.
