Event:
Take your minions to a movie
As part of their annual Cinema in the Park event, Ryde Council is showing a free screening of the popular children's animated movie 'Minions' on Friday 4th March, beginning at 8 pm.

The movie 'Minions' is the prequel to the popular 'Despicable Me' films that feature the 'minion' characters - a bunch of cheeky and cheerful underlings of Felonius Gru, supervillain and jelly manufacturer.

In this film, some of the minions are working for another super villain - but still with the predictable goal of 'taking over the world'.

Even for those who have seen the film before, this could be a special way to enjoy it - being shown outdoors on an inflatable screen. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cushions, blankets and other items of comfort and while light refreshments will be served there is no reason you couldn't pack a picnic dinner and make a night of it.

Also note that the movie will include closed captions for the deaf and hearing impaired.

The event is being held at Eastwood Shopping Centre - 5 minutes walk from the Eastwood Railway Station - and street parking will be available. Of course, being an outdoor event, confirmation of the screening will depend upon the weather. For updates or cancellations, be sure to visit the Ryde Cinema in the Park page.
