CinefestOZ Film Festival is a film festival which is set against the delightful backdrop of Western Australia's iconic south west region.
It celebrates great movies and uses some of Australia's most beautiful locations. It also uses the well-known and world-class Margaret River wines and their gourmet fresh foods.
Those who are dedicated to movies will love joining the best of Australian film culture plus the natural attractions into their itineraries.
Visitors, filmmakers and film-goers will all come together to enjoy first-class events and sidebar events. Here there will also be food and wine with lunches overlooking vineyards, general screenings of movies, family activities and free community events over five days in August.

Program of Events
This will be aboriginal film content and activities during a CinefestOZ Film Festival.
IndigifestOZ will present some excellent indigenous film works through a mixture of feature films in general screenings, short films in festival sidebars and in the free community screenings.
With these aboriginal films, people will become aware and understand these cultures just a bit more and should, therefore, appreciate the aboriginal talent seen in this productions.

The 2018 Community Screenings Program celebrated Australian films showcasing the ultimate Australian personas, landscapes and Aussie anecdotes. The 2019 program is yet to be released. These events are generally free to the public. Make sure you keep up to date with their
webpage.
It is the norm with all respected film festivals that the full program is revealed as little as a month before the opening night.
CinefestOZ has won the Festivals and Events category at the 2018 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards, presented by Tourism Council WA.
This is another reason to make an effort and go to the five-day film festival. Make sure you make your accommodation bookings if you do not live near these events in the south west - it is sure to be a worthwhile few days down south.
