If you're a regular movie goer like myself then the only way to go is by being a Cinebuzz member. Even if you only go to the movies occasionally, you're still better off being a Cinebuzz member.
Cinebuzz membership is through Event Cinemas, Greater Union, Vmax and Birch Carroll & Coyle. They are scattered all over Australia, so it shouldn't be hard to find a cinema near you. You can find the locations here. It's also free to sign up for a membership, so you really have no reason not to. You can sign up for one here.
After a few sessions the rewards really do pile up, especially if you're a VIP member. Being a Cinebuzz member entitles you to $10 movie tickets. That's a great saving considering other cinemas charge almost $20 for an adult ticket. Every time you purchase a standard movie ticket, you will receive 100 points (125 points if you're a VIP member). When you reach 1000 points, you receive a free ticket to the movie of your choice.
Being a VIP member is pretty awesome. You get invited to advance screenings, even more discounts than regular Cinebuzz members, more points which means you get a free ticket quicker and you get free popcorn refills. It's every movie geeks dream!
