In Broadway's first production of Cinderella, the adapation of the Disney story is captivating and gives a nostaglic feeling to the audience. The musical and story was first told with Julie Andrews as Cinderella. The story has evolved to a live telling on Broadway.
With some plot changes, viewers get some back story on peasants and society as well as the royal family. Light and whimsical, the satire leaves the audience taking in every last word, but doesn't come off pretentious at all. The visual effects are more eye-catching then the music itself, which to me was just ok. Overall, for those that enjoy fairy tales, Broadway has done themselves in again with this fun, exciting show for young and old.
