Chula, Vietnam's favourite ethical fashion design house, is coming to Australia for the first time!
Laura and Diego, two talented Spanish fashion designers, were inspired to create Chula after they visited and fell in love with Vietnam back in 2004.
Drawing inspiration from Vietnam's friendly people, exotic food and vibrant local culture, Laura and Diego designed a unique collection of 'wearable art', which became a hit with locals, as well as fashionistas overseas!
Today Chula is a much-loved fashion brand, defined as 'wearable happiness' and has since been showcased in prestigious fashion shows across the world, including the Grand Canyon, Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur, Trajano's Market in Rome, Seine River in Paris, WTC in New York City, The Citadel of Hue, and The Kennedy Center in Washington.
Now it's Sydney's turn to discover this unique ethical fashion brand which works directly with small communities in northern Vietnam. Chula employs a skilled community of 60 people, 75 percent of whom have a physical disability and all items are handmade at their base shop in Hanoi.
Chula has been invited to be part of the Foma (Fashions of Multicultural Australia) Runway Shown on 10th March in Sydney. On 11th March, Chula Fashion will be showcasing their "wearable art" in collaboration with Sydney based store, Temples and Markets. This will be a design showcase unlike anything to have ever hit Sydney before!
