The Chrysler Expo 2011 is here, and for all car lovers (and those who wouldn't call themselves car enthusiasts); this is one car show that will have heads turning.
Also known as the 'Queensland Original and Annual Premier Chrysler Car Show and Swap Meet', the expo is now in its 21st year. Being held at the Mt. Gravatt Showgrounds, the event will include a range of cars, from sedans to vans and coupes to convertibles. There will also be several competitions running throughout the expo, including the Top Australian and Top American car, as well as the best custom paint job and club display. Those in the running have their eyes set on the 1st place trophy and cash prize of $350. Of course, there will be several things to see and do at the expo, including visiting trade stalls, enjoying the music, children's activities, meeting other car enthusiasts and meeting the owners of the prized automobiles. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase on the day. For more information, please see the full event schedule via the website.
In past years, there have been over 150 cars on displays, including street rods, vintage, muscle cars and current models. This expo is one of the few events where you can view one of the largest selection of Chrysler vehicles in Queensland. Whether you are a car lover or not, there is something for everyone at the Chrysler Expo 2011. You might be wondering why the clause 'Swap Meet' was added at the already long title of the 'Queensland Original and Annual Premier Chrysler Car Show'. Well, the swap meet was incorporated in the show to enable Chrysler enthusiasts to buy and sell new and used Chrysler parts. And who could blame them? It's not every day you find over 150 Chryslers in one place. And there will also be a 'Car Corral' for those who actually are interested in buying or selling a classic Chrysler themselves.
Of course, if you happen to have a Chrysler of your own, why not have your prized vehicle pre-entered into the Chrysler Expo 2011? All you have to do is pay the entry fee (and the display fee if you want to have the chance to win some great prizes) and complete and send the entry form to 63-69 Falconer Road, Woodhill, QLD, 4285; and you and your car will be featured in this year's Chysler Expo. You will also receive a valuable commemorative show bag with all the things you need for this year's expo. For more details on how to enter, please visit the website or call 0412082954.
So if you are a car lover, or even if you are not, head to the Chrysler Expo 2011 for a great day out. Admission is $6 per adult, and children are free (if accompanied with an adult, if not, admission is $1 each). For those interested in the Swap Meet and Car Corral, admission is $10 respectively.
