To be English for the afternoon

Summary

Hosting an afternoon tea party during the holidays is a most wonderful marvelous way to express love and appreciation for those you hold dear and a gift they can treasure.

An Afternoon At The Nutcracker

Mouse King Cheese Truffles
Made from cheddar to goat to cream cheeses with seasonings you probably already have in your pantry!

A Season Of Giving

Coconut-Almond Bonbons

The ingredients are all very sweet. The recipe serves 34 and may be prepared a day in advance, in a covered container and in the fridge until needed.

T'was The Night Before Christmas

Peppermint Truffles
Only 3 ingredients! Chopped white chocolate, heavy whipping cream and crushed peppermint!

Opinion

When I was a child, I had my own tea set. I barely used the tea set but would love to know where the tea set is.

To be honest, I rarely drink hot tea. I would love to have an Afternoon High Tea though. All the preparation would be so inspiring and motivational. My High Tea would include the tuna salad sandwiches, "buckeyes" and Red Rose tea.

Now I know what I might do in the future.

I give this cookbook a 5-star rating.

I would love to serve a High tea but am not comfortable enough right now to have guests over in case they have the coronavirus.

What goodies were served at your High tea? What tea also... black, green, white, herbal, flavored, etc.?

High tea is a bit special. I was lucky enough to enjoy one with some female friends not long ago. It's a good excuse to frock up.
