I'm a mother of four with two coeliac children. I'm always on the lookout for great gluten-free spots around Brisbane and feature gluten-free cooking in my blog: coeliacfamily.blogspot.com.au I'm also a muso and enjoy live music around town.

Get Your Christmas Decorating Ideas at Christmas Shack

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas and that means dusting off the decorations and checking how many of your Christmas Light sets still work. (Who can be bothered trying to identify which light isn't working and replacing those little bulbs anyway!). Fortunately there is a Christmas Wonderland waiting around the corner for all of your Christmas needs.

Christmas Shack
The Christmas Shack - An Unassuming Frontage Leads to Magical Land

From the outside of Christmas Shack there is little indication of the wonders lying within. This place is worth a visit even if it is just to go and get some decorating ideas for your home. Children will have a great time exploring the aisles and discovering all of the different sections of the building.

Magical entry
The Magical Entry Leads to Christmas Land

After the magical entry, you make your way through rows of tree ornaments and stockings, aisles of tinsel and all manner of decorations sure to make your house look Christmassy!

Christmas Tableware
Lots of Choices for the Christmas Table

Delve further into the shop and you will find yourself confronted with tableware, napkins, plates - all that you will need to dress your table for that special Christmas Dinner when friends and family join you.

Christmas Lights
Christmas Light Cave

A ramp in the back left of the shop from where you enter descends into a magical world of Christmas Lights for your tree, outdoors and Lighting Displays. There is a wide selection of both solar and traditional lights, LED Bulbs and Fibre Optic lights, including Christmas Trees wired with Fibre Optics.

Christmas Village
Christmas Village Houses and Scenery

Exploring the lower level further, you will find rows of those beautiful little village scenes to make a very special Christmas Scene. Buildings which are pre-wired so that you can turn the lights on your special display, ice-skaters skating around a frozen pond and little trains to encircle your village are all available and will bring a smile to children's faces.

Christmas Tree
A Christmas Tree Forest

The last section of the store comprises a forest of Christmas Trees in all sizes and colours. We had a wonderful time exploring the store, and while I didn't spend any money, I got some great ideas for decorating my own home and have a long list of requirements which will definitely make our home seem more festive, I just need to run it by my husband!

Christmas Shack is open seven days leading up to Christmas from 9 until 5pm. You will also find stores in Virginia and Ipswich. Check out their Website which has a full list of products and a mailing list which you can sign up for. This shop has all of your Christmas needs in one handy location and is a chance for your imagination to run wild.
