Get your dearly loved fur baby washed and preened and ready for a photo shoot with Santa! For the first time ever, you can book your pooch into your Christmas family photo at Westfield Marion .

How has this not been a 'thing' before? It's such a great idea!

For limited days and times from Monday the 22nd of November through to Sunday the 10th December, you can pre-book a session with Santa for you and your dog. There's a non-refundable deposit of $20.90 which is payable at the time of making your reservation. This means that you don't need to be fussing with making payments on the day. There are several different photo packages available to purchase once you've had your photo taken. Just check the website when you make your reservation.

There are rules of course. There always is. But, they are there to keep everyone safe and orderly.

Here are some tips to prepare your pooch for their photo shoot:

Take them for a bit of a walk before bringing them inside the mall - they can burn off a bit of energy before sitting on Santa's lap.

Bring some treats and reward them for being a good dog. Treats also work as a bribe to get them to sit nice and still. Their favourite toys are a great idea too - a fave squeaky toy behind the camera will make their eyes open and their ears pop up. They'll look adorable in the photo.

I love my dog, but he has terrible dog breath. A bath and brush before leaving home will have them looking and smelling great. I'm sure that Santa will appreciate your nice smelling dog too.
