The Magic Cave The festive season is heralded by the Adelaide Christmas Pageant in November. This is when Father Christmas makes his grand entrance to the Magic Cave at David Jones. He is joined in this enchanted world by a team of magical elves and fairytale characters who are hard at work to make your Christmas wishes come true.

The Brewery Lights Riverbank Christmas Display The South Australian Brewery embraces the spirit of Christmas every year with what has become an iconic Christmas display on the banks of the River Torrens. The sparkly lights of the Riverbank Christmas Display attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. There are foods stalls to feed the hungry and sideshows to amuse the kids. Father Christmas loves this event too and will be there the week before Christmas from 7.30 - 9.30pm.

Christmas Gift and Craft Fair Avoid the chaotic malls and do your Christmas gift shopping at the Christmas Gift and Craft Fair at the Adelaide Showgrounds. Here you will find special and unique presents for family, friends and yourself. Choose from thousands of handcrafted goods like beauty products, clothes, jewellery, garden ornaments, ceramics, gourmet food, homewares, paintings, toys and so much more. Father Christmas is scheduled to make a visit to ensure everything is up to scratch.

Lights of Lobethal
The Adelaide Hills town of Lobethal has been lighting up Christmas in South Australia for over sixty years. With each year, it gets bigger, better and brighter. These days, the Lights of Lobethal is a festival which includes a nativity scene, markets, stalls and of course, the spectacular lighting display that Lobethal is famous for.

Carols by Candlelight Carols by Candlelight is one of the biggest events on Adelaide's Christmas calendar. Light up your candles and sing along to your favourite carols performed by popular Australian personalities. The concert includes an appearance from Father Christmas and concludes with a fireworks display. Be early to get a good spot!
