Keep the true meaning of Christmas alive
Perth has some great Christmas events this year and this one is free and one of our family favourites; the Christmas Nativity.

Held at the Supreme Court Gardens from 6.30pm-10pm on 19th-21st December 2018.

Get there early to claim a spot and set out your picnic blanket and/or low back chairs. There are two big screens either side of the main stage so you can still see all that is going on, even if you are at the back.

Pack a picnic or buy from the food vans on site.

Whilst waiting for the main event, take a walk and check out the animals you will be seeing throughout the show.

The performance starts at 6.30pm.

The amount of time and effort that goes into the Christmas Nativity is mind-blowing. The sets are stunning, the lighting is vibrant, the sound is professional.

The 100 plus performers are the highlight and what makes us go back to watch this year after year.

Enjoy the story of Christmas, brought to life with carols and dancing, acting and narration.

Revel as you watch Mary and Joesph as they journey to Bethlehem on a donkey.

The Three Wise Men/Kings arrive at the stable in style on camels and shepherds watch their real flock of sheep.

It is a perfect way to keep the spirit of Christmas alive and to teach youngsters the true meaning of the festive season from the commercial event it has evolved to.

We usually tie this trip to the city with a visit to Santa (either in Myer or David Jones), then enjoy the Christmas Nativity and finish the evening off by following the Christmas Light Trail.

Believe in the magic of Christmas and have yourself a merry little festive time.
