If you want a good selection of Christmas gifts and a very varied one, then markets or fetes are the way to go! You are not stuck in a shop trying to get someone to serve you but are often in the open air at a market and fete. With November and December being delightful months weather-wise for Perth, these are the months to shop in the open!

This list will help you pick some which are close to you or just a short drive from you.

[b]Kinkuna Water Park Markets[/b]
This market will be held on Saturday 10th November, from 9 am - 1 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Allara Estate, Revolution Ave, Eglinton

This is at a water park so children can enjoy themselves while you shop.

[b]Parkerville Primary Twilight Christmas Fete[/b]
These will be on Saturday, 24th November from 4 pm to 8 pm
[b]Where:[/b] 16 Parker Rd, Parkerville

Parkerville Primary School is having their very first Twilight Christmas Market. They will offer a great selection of food vans, stalls, fun games and entertainment for all ages.

[b]MEGA Indoor Market - Xmas Special[/b]
This will be on 25th November, from 11 am - 4 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Kennedya Drive, Joondalup

Find some unique gift items in this indoor free venue. There will be around 134 stallholders to shop at and you can also eat at the onsite cafe while enjoying live entertainment.

[b]Ugly Duckling Wines - Markets in The Valley[/b]
This will be held on 25th November, and if you are a late shopper, also on 16th December. They go from 11 am to 3 pm.
[b]Where:[/b] 7790 West Swan Rd, West Swan

Ugly Duckling Wines is a boutique vineyard located in the heart of the Swan Valley. At this market, you will be tempted by delicious cheese and meat platters, or a gourmet pie and fresh garden salad. There will be some great shopping here and special Christmas bargains at the market stalls. And when you finish shopping, you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine!

[b]Jolimont Twilight Fete[/b]
This fete will be held on 1st December, from 3 pm - 7 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Jolimont Primary School, 657 Hay Street, Jolimont

This is an inaugural event and will be an evening of rides and games, stalls and markets, prizes and food.

[b]Christmas Markets & Outdoor Movies[/b]
These markets will be on Saturday 1st December, from 5 pm - 9 pm
[b]Where:[/b] True North Block, 869 Connolly Drive, Merriwa.

These Christmas markets are for all your shopping. They will have lots of unique stallholders and 115 collectives open with coffee and Christmas treats.

As well as this, they will also show a double feature of [i]Arthur Christmas[/i] followed by the Christmas classic [i]Home Alone 2[/i] on the big screen!

[b]The Swan Valley Oasis Resort Markets[/b]
This market will be on Sunday 2nd December, from 10 am - 2 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Swan Valley Oasis Resort, 10250 W Swan Rd, Henley Brook

The Swan Valley Oasis is a resort nestled in lush tropical surroundings. Their family Christmas market day will include market stalls, supa golf, laser corps, live music, delicious food, and the bar will be open.

[b]Markets by the Sea[/b]
These will be on Sunday 2nd December, from 9 am to 2 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Whitfords Node Park, Whitfords Avenue

You can browse through about 50 unique market stalls here, as well as listen to music and enjoy food from food trucks. You will be able to buy clothing, homewares, jewellery, plants, art, swim-wear, artisan items, and more.

This is an event for the whole family by the sea!

[b]Guildford Christmas Twilight Market[/b]
This is a twilight market on 8th December, from 5 pm - 9 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Stirling Square, Meadow St, Guildford (alongside the Guildford Train Station)

There will be live entertainment followed by a special children's Christmas Show commencing at 6.30 pm and featuring Santa. There are free children's activities, as well as a silent disco which will be on in the evening.

As for market stalls, there will be more than 100 with unique Christmas gift ideas to suit all budgets. There will also be some great food including vegan.

Dogs are permitted on a lead at all times.

[b]King Neptune Christmas Festival[/b]
These are on Sunday 9th December, from 3 pm - 7 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Two Rocks Shopping Centre, Lisford Avenue.

There will be many market stalls, live music, food, wine tasting, views overlooking the marina, hot rods, bouncy castle and climbing wall, face painting, plus some very special characters.

[b]Perth Hills Artisan Markets - Christmas Special Market[/b]
This will be on Sunday 16th December, from 10 am to 4 pm
[b]Where:[/b] Mundaring Sculpture Park

At these markets, you will find local work, from the crafters to the makers. There will be heaps of products, homemade foods and jams, as well as art and much more.

[b]Mindarie Christmas Markets[/b]
These markets will be on Sunday 16th December, from 12 noon - 5 pm
[b]Where:[/b] The Marina, Mindarie

There will be artisan markets stalls, street food stalls, free Christmas kids activities, carols, live bands, a visit by Santa, and roving Christmas performers.

[b]Xmas Craft & Gift Expo[/b]
This will be on from 14th to 16th December, from 8 pm on 14th.
[b]Where:[/b] Sorrento Quay Boardwalk, Hillarys Boat Harbour

You will be able to buy some unique gifts here, and then you can sit back and relax with live entertainment. Being at Sorrento Quay, you will have a good choice of what to eat also.
