Are you wondering what's on this Christmas around the Capital? The following list has 20 Christmas markets, festivals and events to mark on your calendar for the month ahead! Let's great straight into the action...**

Friday, 1st December
Eco-Elves Night Market will be held at the Canberra Environment Centre in Acton, between 5pm - 9pm. Shop at the markets for local, handmade, eco-friendly, fair-trade and up-cycled gifts. See here for details.

Christmas Carnival in the City will be held over 3 huge days between 1st - 3rd December, in Garema Place and City Walk. There will be carnival rides, food stalls, live music, Christmas lights and a whole lot of fun! This will be the last event for Canberra In The City. See #tabs2 ">here for details.



Saturday, 2nd December
A Very Canberra Comedy Festival Christmas will be held at Llewellyn Hall at 7:30pm, with tickets costing $44.90. This 2 hour show will feature some of the best acts from the 2018 Comedy Festival line-up. See here for details.

Christmas Kids at Old Bus Depot Markets is a special day for kids with a petting zoo, a cheeky elf performing a show, pony and donkey rides, jumping castle and much more. The Old Bus Depot Markets will be open each Saturday and Sunday in December before Christmas. See here for details.

All Saints Anglican Church in Ainslie will be hosting a Christmas Fayre, with markets, food stalls, traditional children's games and a festive fun. This festive event will run between 9am - 1:30pm. See here for details.

Sunday 3rd December
Belconnen Westfield Shopping Centre will be having a free Christmas kids cooking activity with Kids Pantry. See here for details.

12 Barks of Christmas is an evening of doggie fun in Glebe Park, between 4pm - 7pm. This event is organised by the RSPCA and all funds raised from the sale of tickets will go towards caring for the unwanted, abused, neglected and homeless animals. Tickets cost between $13 - $25. Thursday, 7th December
Sparrow-Folk : A Very Nestie Xmas is back at The Street Theatre for Christmas fun, songs and comedy on the 7th and 8th December. Tickets cost $30. See here for details.

Friday, 8th December
Handmade Christmas Markets will be held in the Budawang Pavilion at the EPIC on Friday evening between 5pm - 9pm and then all weekend between 10am - 4pm. Shop for quality hand-made gifts that you won't find anywhere else such as jewellery, homewares, fashion, gourmet food and more. There will be over 260 stalls to choose from. Free entry. Friday, 8th December to Christmas Eve
Christmas in Glebe Park is a new event, organised by the Canberra Renewal Authority. Head on down to Glebe Park in the city to see real Christmas trees, Christmas lights, markets, food trucks, roving carollers, live entertainment, gingerbread cubby houses and much more. The event kicks off on the 8th December, with the Christmas lights on display from 5pm nightly until Christmas Eve. The festivities will run between Thursday and Sunday each weekend, starting from 5pm on Thursday and Friday nights - and from noon to 10pm on weekends until 23rd December. Entry will be free, however some activities will require a donation to the Red Nose charity. Saturday, 9th December**
A Very Very Merry Community Christmas Party Queanbeyan will be held at Queen Elizabeth Park II, between 6pm - 9pm. See here for details.

Canberra Small Business Market will be held at the Fitters Workshop outside the Old Bus Depot Markets, with stalls selling Christmas gifts such as fashion, jewellery, homewares, food, toys and more. See here for details.

The Christmas Markets will also be held at the EPIC, in the Fitzroy Pavilion, on the weekend of 9th and 10th December. Entry to the markets costs $3 (kids are free) and then shop for Christmas decorations, Christmas trees, presents, gourmet food, Christmas puddings, arts, crafts and much more. The markets will be held between 9am - 3pm both days, with free parking. See here for details.



Wednesday, 13th December
A Very Kransky Christmas is a comedy performance held at the Canberra Theatre Centre, starting at 8pm. Enjoy this hilarious show with an unusual array of musical instruments including cheese graters and toilet brushes! Tickets cost $55. See here for details.

Friday, 15th December **
Friday Night Drinks at Old Parliament House** will be having a Christmas family celebration from 4pm until late. See here for details.

Stille Nacht is a Christmas performance at All Saints Anglican Church in Ainslie, featuring the Luminescence Chamber Singers and Children's Choir. See here for details and tickets.

Saturday, 16th December
Canberra Santa Pub Crawl is an over 18's event, starting at Debacle in Braddon and ending at Mooseheads. Dressing up as Santa is encouraged! The cost is $10 for a wristband which gives you deals on the night. See here for details.



Wednesday 20th -Thursday 21st December**
The Wiggles - Wiggly Christmas Big Show** will be held at the Canberra Theatre Centre at 10am, 1pm and 4pm on both days. See all your favourite Wiggles, characters, reindeers and even snow! Tickets cost $36.90. See here for details.

Sunday, 24th December
Christmas Programme at the National Carillon runs between 6:30pm - 7:30pm, with Christmas carols performed by Senior Carillonist Astrid Bowler, up at the top of the tower. See here for details.
