Although it is still about 11 weeks before Christmas time, the shops already have Christmas items on their shelves! This seems to happen earlier and earlier each year - or is it just my imagination? You can already buy Christmas cakes, as well as Christmas confectionery and cards, so for many of us, it is time to start planning for our Christmas Day.

This year at one of the large stores you also have a choice to meet Santa Claus or Mrs Claus. I find this rather amusing as I fear to think what they will come up with next - traditionally it is Santa Claus and now Mrs Claus has appeared!

Despite all this early hype, Christmas Day is one of the times when you need to book a restaurant early as the places sell out fast and early! One of the sites I wanted to list here has three different places for lunch and all three are already booked out.

So I have compiled a list of fifteen different places where you will be able to get a pleasant Christmas lunch.

You can already book in for most of these and if you are not entertaining at home, I would strongly urge you to book early so you don't miss out - there is nothing worse than having to take "second best" because a restaurant is fully booked for an event.

[b]1. THE QUEENS**
This great old pub is situated in Highgate and will be open for your Christmas lunch, with a three-course set menu.

2. THE OLD BREWERY
The Old Brewery has stunning views over the beautiful Swan River and the City skyline and this will be a set menu.



Cost is:
Adults $138
Children (4 to 12 yrs) $45

3. ELMERS IN THE VALLEY
Here in the Swan Valley, you can have a sumptuous gourmet buffet with a wide range of items to suit a variety of tastes. The buffet lunch includes cold and hot options as well as a carvery station and is complete with a dessert buffet, plus a three-hour beverage package is included.



Cost is:
Adults $180.00 each
16-17 year olds $120.00 each
11-15 year olds $80.00 each
6-10 year olds $60.00 each
5 years & under – FREE

4. NOVOTEL PERTH
This hotel is situated in Perth just out of the City and there is parking underneath. Their lunch will consist of a festive buffet of fresh seafood, roast carvery with traditional trimmings, a sumptuous array of hot and cold dishes, plus a selection of desserts.

Children (6-15 yrs) $60
Children (0-5 yrs) free

5. THE TERRACE HOTEL
Enjoy a delicious, festive 3-course feast at The Terrace Hotel – Perth and adults will receive a glass of Champagne on arrival.



Cost is:

Children (12 yrs and under) $49.50

6. ESPLANADE HOTEL, FREMANTLE
Lunch here in Freo includes a 3-hour beverage package, Christmas crackers, kid's entertainment and a visit from Santa.

7. INTERNATIONAL ON THE WATER
This is a restaurant I recently discovered recently, situated in Ascot and it was a brilliant place. With parking right outside, their Christmas Day lunch will be a buffet and you couldn't find a nicer spot than this.

8. BWG STEAKHOUSE
BWG Steakhouse has stunning views over the beautiful Swan River, is situated in Applecross and they will have a set menu which you can see here and you can book here .

9. THE BOTANICAL CAFE
For something more casual and with indoor or outdoor dining options with spectacular views over the City and Swan River, why not try the Botanical Café in Kings Park.



Cost is:
Adults $70
Children $25

10. HYATT REGENCY PERTH
You cannot get a better buffet than here and having been here many times, I just love their food!



There will be two sittings for the buffet this year and cost is:
Adult $185.00 including beverage package
Pre- Teen $155.00 including soft drinks
Child $70.00 including soft drinks

11. EAT GREEK RESTAURANT
This restaurant is in Fremantle and will have two sittings for Christmas lunch. At Eat Greek you will enjoy good service and traditional Greek food.

12. COCO'S
Coco's is an icon in South Perth, having been there for many years and they will be having a three course set menu (6 choices per course).



Cost is:
$185 per person
$90 per child (under 12)

**14. THE PAGODA RESORT[/b]
Situated in Como, you can celebrate Christmas lunch in the elegant surroundings of the historic Ballroom at the Pagoda Resort & Spa from. Here you can enjoy a 5-course set menu inclusive of a 3-hour premium beverage package, live music, decorations plus children under 12 receive a Christmas gift.



Cost is:

Children (11 - 17 yrs) $105
Children (4 - 10 yrs) $70

[b]15. THE BLUE DUCK**
This is situated at North Cottesloe, overlooking the beach and you can see the delicious menu here .



Cost is $140 per person.

There are of course more places you can eat and these are just some of the ones that I have been to and know you will have a good meal.
