Brisbane CBD will be transformed into an enchanting scene from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet this Christmas, as Queensland Ballet Company bring two hundred performers out of QPAC and into the city streets for the annual pantomime and parade. There will also be plenty of other magical Christmas events and free entertainment taking place across the city throughout the season.



Myer Christmas Windows, November 8 - January 5:

Myer has been offering its Christmas window display to generations of Brisbane children for 58 years now - so why not take the children into Queen Street Mall to see this year's unique and wonderful story?

Myer Santaland, November 8 - January 5:

Ride the famous "Santaland Express" to visit Santa himself at the North Pole. If you're brave, maybe even have your photo taken with Santa and Rudolph?



David Jones Santa, November 16 - Christmas Eve:

David Jones, Queen's Plaza especially invites families to join the clelebrations for their opening weekend (November 16 & 17) - children are most welcome to sit on Santa's knee and tell him their secret Christmas wishes.

Lighting of the Christmas Tree, November 29:

Witness the Lord Mayor Graham Quirk in his traditional lighting of the Southern Hemisphere's largest solar powered Christmas tree in King George Square at 6.30pm, followed by carols and festivities.

Myer Christmas Parade and Pantomime, Queen Street Mall, December 13 - 22, 6.30pm:

Two hundred performers from Queensland Ballet Company will take to the city streets to offer scenes from the classic Christmas story, The Nutcracker Ballet. All are welcome to join in the popular parade.

**IGA Lord Mayor's Carols in the City,
Riverstage, December 14, 5.30pm:**

This is an uplifting family event and will be hosted by Georgina Lewis and Josh Holt, with head line performances by Paulini, Jack Vidgen, Silvie Paladino, Mark Lowndes, La Forza and many more. So take along your candles and be prepared to sing the night away.

There will also be ongoing carols, amazing light decorations and busking taking place across the city to keep the Christmas spirit a buzz, so why not embrace the festivities and have a very Merry Christmas in Brisbane city this year?
