The popular Christmas in Pyrmont event returns on Sunday 1st December 2013 as a bustling street fair.
This anticipated family-friendly event is free to attend and the many festivities will be held in three convenient locations; Pyrmont Community Centre, John Street Square and John Street (from Harris to Mount Street) from midday till 7pm.
This year, the event will be held in aid of three charities - Animal Welfare League NSW, YMCA Brightside and Pyrmont Cares. Event organisers hope to raise $50,000 and collect food and toys for other charities.
All are welcome to attend; there will a wide range of market stalls to peruse in John Street Square and along John Street, including unique fashion for the whole family, handmade arts and crafts for the home and office, Christmas cards and tree decorations and much more. You will also find a range of local businesses showcasing their many services and offering free advice, including the Animal Welfare League.
Once you have finished trawling through the many stalls, head over to John Street Square and relax and enjoy the live music performances, including headliner Lah Lah's Big Live Band and Christmas carollers. This space will also feature a petting zoo for the little ones, as well as an inflatable giant slide.
At Pyrmont Community Centre, children will also be able to enjoy a full range of interactive activities, including face painting and a jumping castle, and of course, a chance to have a photo taken with Santa, with a few animal friends courtesy of the Animal Welfare League.
A diverse range of food and drink will also be available to sample throughout the day; some of the highlights include international delights such as blinis, Chinese dumplings and Indian samosas, as well as homemade breads, sweets and cakes. There will also be a great selection of drinks on offer.
Christmas in Pyrmont is sure to be an enjoyable event for the whole family this Christmas season.
