'Tis the season, and indeed with all the beautiful decorations in the city, we are reminded that Christmas is only a few short weeks away. Here are a few things to do, for young and old, to get into the festive mood.

Russell's Christmas Magic
1. Myer Window

Myer, Bourke Street, has revealed it's infamous Christmas window; this year's tribute to the story book "Russell's Christmas Magic" by Rob Scotton. After viewing this delightful animated display, head to level 3 of Myer to have your photo taken with a 3D character from the animation. Windows open for viewing daily 7.30am-1am, November 9th - January 6th.

2. Santa's Post Box

Write a letter to Santa, with all your Christmas wishes, include a self-addressed stamped envelope and he will reply to your letter! Santa's Post Box is open from November 16th - December 16th, located in the Christmas Square (city).

3. Christmas Square

On November 30th, head to Christmas Square (city) and watch the Christmas tree light up before strolling through the square and being transported into a magical Christmas forest. Meet Santa and sing along with carollers from 7.30pm-9.30pm.

The Christmas Square is open until January 2nd, with daily sound and light shows at 9.30pm and 11.30pm. From December 1st -24th, meet Santa in person (10am-noon, 1pm-3pm).

4. Docklands Christmas

From November 17th - December 24th, enjoy a white Christmas at Wonderland Fun Park's Christmas Village, with daily snow falls. Santa and his friends will appear during the day, while on Friday nights (November 30th-December 21, 4pm-9pm), browse and shop at the Christmas Twilight Market.

5. Christmas At Federation Square

From December 1st - December 25th, see an installation of 250 recycled Christmas pine trees at Federation Square. Various free events will run throughout the season, including a professional photographer to capture your family portrait and live music on various dates. For those alone on Christmas day, head to the square and enjoy a picnic from 11am-4pm.
